Help save the planet

For my final university project in 2016, I designed an interactive app to teach children how to care for our planet and its inhabitants by clearing the world of pollution.

As a solo project, I wore all the hats, managing game design, illustration, animation, and sound design.

This foundational project directly launched my career in edtech, cementing my passion for playful world building and character led design.

Tiny testers

I wanted gameplay to be varied and intuitive to young children. I did a bunch of play testing on my nephew and niece to ensure it wasn’t confusing and actually fun.

My nephew once asked “did you make the Mario game?”. In my dreams!

Mini games

Interactive narratives involve animals and make believe creatures that all need help in some way to improve their environment.

Here’s Chuck the owl who has a problem with being surrounded by too much electricity.

Grad show

At my end of year grad show I was able to showcase my game to the public. I made print outs and merch to give out and forced people to play before they could get a sticker.
